New enhancements to PCS Software’s Express transportation management software improve close proximity tracking and hours-of-service (HOS) monitoring.
The enhancements incorporate interface upgrades to Qualcomm’s Circle of Service and PeopleNet’s Pacos, both of which provide satellite tracking services. This allows shippers, consignees, and customers to be alerted when a driver reaches a certain radius of the pickup or delivery location, PCS Software said.
The HOS tracking provides real-time updates on drivers’ available on-duty and driving hours for Qualcomm- and PeopleNet-enabled drivers.
Also included in the Express update is in-cab scanning, allowing documents to be transmitted through Qualcomm and PeopleNet systems and automatically entered into the fleet’s database.
