Fleet Pride Acquires Berggren Diesel

FleetPride makes 12th acquisition of 2022

Dec. 14, 2022
Berggren Diesel is the latest acquisition for the truck and trailer parts distributor this year. A week earlier, FleetPride also acquired Harland Diesel Service.

FleetPride, distributor of truck and trailer parts and service provider in the independent heavy-duty aftermarket, has acquired the assets of Berggren Diesel based in Idaho Falls, Idaho, with a second location in Terreton, Idaho. This is the 12th FleetPride acquisition this year, with continued expansion of their national parts and service operations.

Berggren Diesel is a family-owned full-service shop operating on heavy-duty trucks and equipment serving the industry since 2013.

"Berggren's will be a great fit and complements our growth strategy to provide customers with a one-stop-shop solution for parts and service in the heavy-duty aftermarket,” Mike Harris, FleetPride SVP of sales and operations, said in a press release. “We continue expanding our supply chain, digital capabilities, breadth of products and expertise as customers count on us to keep their trucks up and running. The addition of Berggren's Diesel increases our ability to do just that."

David Berggren, owner, said, "FleetPride has a long history of being the nation's largest distributor of truck and trailer parts and service provider in the independent heavy-duty aftermarket with a strong focus on the customer. As Berggren looked to the future, we chose FleetPride for their innovation and industry leadership. We believe this acquisition is a great opportunity for our employees to accelerate their growth."

FleetPride expands parts and service in Oklahoma

A week before the Berggren acquisition, FleetPride announced it acquired the assets of Harland Diesel Service, a full-service shop operating on diesel trucks and heavy equipment. With 14 bays, Harland has served the industry since 1979 in Ponca City, Oklahoma, and its surrounding areas.

"This acquisition will enable us to drive new growth and further extend our capabilities to support customers with a one stop shop for parts and service in the heavy-duty aftermarket," Harris said.

"Through the last 30 years, we have worked to deliver high-quality products to consumers, paying particular attention to service and building lasting customer relationships. With similar values, along with its leading industry position, FleetPride is a great partner to carry our legacy forward. The entire Harland Diesel Service team is excited to join FleetPride and begin working to further position the business for long-term growth," said Harland McClaskey, owner.
