TRP Aftermarket Parts has unveiled a line of all-makes alternators for medium- and heavy-duty trucks. The alternators are designed to meet or exceed OEM specs, and all are rated for the higher temperatures found in engines meeting 2007 and 2010 EPA emissions standards.

“There’s so much that’s happened with trucks, engines, and emission systems that places a heavier strain on alternators,” said Everett Seymoure, global manager for TRP Aftermarket Parts. “Truck operators also need cab comfort systems and electronic devices that make the truck a more comfortable and productive work environment. All of these things tax batteries and alternators to their limits. That’s why today’s truck fleets and operators need robust alternators like those offered by TRP.”

The RE022 brush series offering 150 amps of power and the RE 555 brush series offering 160 amps of power are both offered with a one-year warranty. There is also the RE035, with 140 amps of power and a three-year warranty, and the FE036 with 170 amps of power, also with a three-year warranty.

TRP also offers the RE035 and RE036 series of brushless alternators.

The line of brushless alternators feature remote sensing capability, which can help compensate for cable voltage drop through accurate voltage readings and further extend the service life of the truck’s batteries, the company said.

TRP alternators are available in the United States and Canada at authorized Kenworth and Peterbilt dealers.
