Aero Clad bumper for Peterbilt models available in aftermarket

The all-makes Aero Clad bumper from Hendrickson Bumper and Trim is now available as an aftermarket option for Peterbilt Model 367 and Model 587 trucks. Aero Clad bumpers offer weight savings with a bright mirror-like finish and are more durable than traditional chrome metal bumpers, Hendrickson Bumper said.
The Peterbilt Model 587 bumper in Aero Clad offers an additional 2.8 in. of ground clearance over the factory-supply option, making it less susceptible to damage caused by curbs, ramps and snow drifts, the company said.

The Peterbilt Model 587 bumper in Aero Clad offers an additional 2.8 in. of ground clearance over the factory-supply option, making it less susceptible to damage caused by curbs, ramps and snow drifts, the company said.

The bumper is also 26 lbs. lighter when compared to the steel OEM bumper option. In addition to weight advantages, Aero Clad bumpers are also corrosion resistant and the bright mirrored finished of will not pit, fade or crack like chrome plated bumpers, Hendrickson bumper noted.

Aero Clad is a bi-metal material that bonds stainless steel and aluminum at a molecular level.

Peterbilt Model 367 and Model 587 bumpers in Aero Clad are available through the Hendrickson All Makes Program and can be purchased through Peterbilt dealers.
