FlowBelow Aero recently announced that its Tractor AeroKit with Flex Fairing now features universal bracketry designed to fit all Class 8 truck makes and models, including sleeper cabs, day cabs, and intermodal chassis. The company, which specializes in tractor-trailer aerodynamics, said the re-engineered mounting system removes previous compatibility barriers, giving more fleets, including refrigerated operations, access to fuel-saving fairings.

Key features of universal bracketry design include:

  • Comprehensive compatibility: Accommodates all Class 8 truck manufacturers and configurations
  • Intermodal application ready: Provides clearance for container chassis landing gear
  • Enhanced durability: Features all-aluminum construction with 360-degree spring-loaded rear hanger shoulder joint for multidirectional flexibility
  • Proven field performance: Delivers reliability across millions of miles with minimal damage reports

Since launch, the AeroKit with Flex Fairing has delivered fuel savings of $1.26 per mile, or 3.16 gallons per 1,000 miles. Hirschbach Motor Lines reported strong results during extended testing, with zero damage across a 10-unit trial. The product is available directly from FlowBelow or through mod-centers for new truck builds.

“The universal bracketry represents a significant engineering advancement that opens new opportunities for fleets across diverse applications,” Josh Butler, president and chief technology officer of FlowBelow, said. “We’ve eliminated the compatibility barriers that previously prevented certain carriers from accessing our fuel-saving technology.”
