Continental Commercial Vehicles & Aftermarket offers a line of VDO Flex Fuel Sensors for popular GM vehicle applications.“These original equipment Flex Fuel Sensors are the exact OEM part as supplied to GM worldwide,” the company said. “They are identical in fit, form, function and OE quality.”The VDO program includes four Flex Fuel Sensors providing wide coverage for GM vehicles, including specific models years of: Cadillac ATS, SRX and XTS; Chevrolet Avalanche 1500, Caprice, Captiva Sport, Express 2500/3500/4500, Equinox, Impala, Impala Limited, S10, Silverado 1500, Suburban 1500 and Tahoe; Buick LaCrosse, Regal and Verano; and GMC Savana 2500/3500/4500, Sierra 1500, Sonoma, Terrain, Yukon and Yukon XL 1500.“VDO Flex Fuel Sensors are the latest in green technology for GM vehicles,” the company explained. “These sensors are designed to calculate the percentage of ethanol in fuel and adjust the output signal to the ECU, creating dynamic ignition timing and E85 capacity. VDO Flex Fuel Sensors are built in OE ISO/TS certified facilities and are manufactured to the highest quality standards.”According to Continental, the VDO OEM Direct Program offers a unique solution for shop owners and technicians. OE parts deliver European, domestic and Asian coverage for high-volume vehicles, as well as hard-to-find applications, the company added.“Since the parts are OE components, installation is simplified and labor is reduced, leading to fewer comebacks,” Continental noted.In addition to Flex Fuel Sensors, Continental said it also offers air actuators, electronic throttle valves, electric water pumps, fuel injectors and fuel modules as well as MAF and MAP sensors in the VDO OEM Direct Parts Program.
