The 2025 FleetOwner 500: Private list ranks the most prominent private carriers in the U.S. by total registered power units. Released in April, the FO500 experienced numerous ranking shifts following a busy 2024 marked by carrier acquisitions, mergers, consolidations, and expansions.

Compared to 2024, these rankings remain stable except for a few newcomers. U.S. LBM is new to the 500 private list and this top 10 list this year; the company ranks at No. 62 on the overall list and No. 7 on this top 10. At No. 10, Foundation Building Materials is also new to this top 10 list this year; the company shifted up 424 spots in the overall 500 list since last year. Amazon and Walmart Stores still dominate this top 10 and rank in the top 10 of the overall 500 list.
