Kenworth and Peterbilt add electronic parking brake to Class 8 and medium-duty trucks
Both Kenworth and Peterbilt recently announced the availability of the Bendix Intellipark Electronic Parking Brake (EPB) system on their Class 8 and medium-duty vehicles. The EPB enables electronic safety interlocks with rollaway mitigation, auto trailer brake disengagement, and Smart Unpark functions.
“Safety is a core value and part of Peterbilt’s culture,” Erik Johnson, Peterbilt assistant GM, sales and marketing, said. “The Electronic Parking Brake advanced functions and custom interlocks are the latest in several Peterbilt standard and optional driver-assistance features available to assist our customers in mitigating potential driving risks.”
The system includes ergonomic switches, clear status indication, quieter electronic valve operation, reduced parts complexity, and data to support analysis and driver training. PaccarParts launches TRP Diagnostic Pro to speed up repairs across all truck makes
Paccar Parts recently launched the TRP Diagnostic Pro for all makes and models of commercial trucks in the U.S. and Canada. The tool is designed for service shops, fleets, and technicians seeking faster diagnostics, expanded all-makes service capability, and reduced vehicle downtime.

Ex-Guard expands front-end protection with grille guard for Ram 2500 and 3500 trucks
Ex-Guard Industries released a new extreme-duty FX-50BG3 grille guard for 2010 and newer Ram 2500 and 3500 pickup trucks. The grille guard is constructed with 11-gauge high-tensile steel, features an energy-absorbing design, and is coated with EVRCoat PVC to resist rust and long-term wear.
"Ex-Guard customers can now protect their Ram 2500 and 3500 pickup trucks with the same level of protection used by fleets nationwide," Jeremy Drever, director of engineering for Ex-Guard, said. "It's another great example of our Class 8 protection being applied to hard-working pickup trucks."
