Technology takes Spicer Transmission Division of Dana Corp. announced that its 9- and 10-speed transmissions equipped with the Optilube system can now be spec'd without an oil cooler on all powertrain combinations with a torque capacity of less than 1,650 lb.-ft. The announcement covers Spicer AutoMate-2, Pro-Shift, Spicer Lite I, Spicer Lite II, and 10-V transmissions. Vehicles with more than 400-hp. engines must use SAE 50 synthetic lubrication....The Oliver Group is releasing its new Power Tread design, targeted to high-horsepower, high-torque applications.
