Celadon recognized by Customs as first ACE TL carrier

Indianapolis-based Celadon Trucking Services and its Canadian subsidiary, Celadon Canada, are the first full truckload carriers to be certified participants in the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) system, according to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP).

ACE is a commercial trade processing system being developed by CBP to speed up border crossing times for cargo while improving border security. The 2002 Trade Act required advance electronic manifests on all cargo entering or leaving the U.S. by air, rail, sea, or truck.
