USF Corporation has closed its joint venture agreement with the shareholders of Autolineas Mexicanas SA de CV enabling the launch of a portfolio of intra-Mexico and international transportation and logistics services under the USF Mexico brand.

USF Mexico service will be offered for intra-Mexico supply chain solutions to USF's customers immediately, and international service -- cross-border LTL, both northbound and southbound -- on January 5, 2004. Subsequent first quarter 2004 launches will include truckload services (via USF Glen Moore), assembly & distribution services, and consolidation & deconsolidation services.

"It's exciting to be affiliated with Almex," said David Valdez, USF Mexico's General Manager of Mexico Business Development. "They are an established, third-generation family-owned and operated business with more than 50 years of solid experience in the Mexico transportation marketplace."
