Seattle-based package carrier Airborne Express has formed an alliance with Cleveland-based retailer OfficeMax to provide a range of shipping services to small businesses across the country.
The three-year arrangement starts with OfficeMax allowing Airborne Express to set up kiosks at 32 OfficeMax locations in Seattle and Cleveland, with plans to eventually expand to more than 960 OfficeMax superstores nationwide. Services will include domestic air, ground delivery service, airborne@home business-to-consumer service and prepaid shipping products.
Additional elements of the partnership include electronic commerce integration of Airborne and OfficeMax services, along with jointly developed online tools that will be accessed on the web sites of both companies.
