Proximity Alert offers automatic notification in real-time when trucks equipped with the MobileMax multi-mode wireless communications system enter or leave defined locations.

Aether Systems says its new geofencing option for MobileMax can also alert fleet managers if a vehicle is detained at any location beyond a specified period.

The new Proximity Alert feature can be programmed on-the-fly to automatically track vehicle arrivals and departures, measure detention, verify off-duty time, detect truck movement and send out-of-route mile reports.

MobileMax is a multi-mode wireless system, automatically switching between land-based and satellite communications networks to provide lowest cost communications with complete coverage as it sends and receives data, messages and location information.
