Volvo Truck gets new strategic planner

Peter Wassberg has been appointed head of strategic planning at Volvo Truck Corp., effective March 1. He will replace Claes Nilsson who will be responsible for the implementation of Volvo Trucks’ new distribution strategy in Europe. Wassberg comes from a position at Manpower AB as regional manager for the business area known as Techpower. Volvo said Wassberg has wide experience in the transport industry.

Wassberg comes from a position at Manpower AB as regional manager for the business area known as Techpower. Volvo said Wassberg has wide experience in the transport industry.

He will be responsible for strategic planning and business development, including the company’s business planning process, product strategies, business intelligence, safety management and strategic projects.
