Mala Krishnamoorti Parker is going to become the first VP for coalitions at the American Trucking Associati
ons (ATA).
This is a position the trade group said is designed to give elected officials the “bigger picture” when it comes how trucking issues impact the entire U.S. supply chain.
Parker (at right) comes to ATA with experience working both on and off Capitol Hill, with time spent at the National Association of Home Builders, as associate deputy secretary at the U.S. Department of Labor and as deputy chief of staff to former Rep. Connie Mack (R-Fla.).
Parker is originally from Tacoma, WA, where she also earned her degree from the University of Puget Sound.
