DaimlerChrysler Financial Services Americas (DCF) will be relocating its U.S. operations to new headquarters in Farmington Hills, MI, once its finishes transferring control of its Chrysler Financial business unit to Cerberus Capital Management in the third quarter.

Roughly a third of DCF employees – 400 staffers in all – are making the move to the new location and will support Daimler car and truck business. The remaining 800 employees will stay with the Chrysler financing unit, sold off in the deal back in May that gave Cerberus an 80.1% majority stake in Chrysler

Klaus Entenmann, DCF president & CEO, said the new location in Farmington Hills will house the corporate staffs supporting Mercedes-Benz and DaimlerChrysler Truck Financial, including finance, controlling, risk management, audit, communications, human resources, information technology, legal and other departments. He added that the Truck financial business unit would continue to maintain its executive offices and sales, operations and customer service activities outside Chicago in Lisle, IL.
