Pilot Flying J opens South Carolina plaza

A new Flying J Travel Plaza has opened in St. George, SC, Pilot Flying J has said. The 13,350-sq.-ft. facility is located at 113 Motel Drive at Exit 77 off I-95 along U.S. Highway 78.

“We hope that St. George area residents and fleet customers will enjoy the convenience and amenities of our new Flying J Travel Plaza,” said Jimmy Haslam, president & CEO of Pilot Flying J. “As the driver-driven company, we are proud that this travel center will serve this community through products and services as well as contribute to the local economy through jobs and tax revenue. And, we’ll fill the needs of those carrying goods to communities across the nation.”

The plaza features six gasoline islands, eight diesel lanes and two RV lanes along with DEF at the pump. The facility also features high-speed fuel pumps as well as a restaurant and a wide variety of convenience items.

Inside, visitors will find a Denny’s restaurant; hot food deli; restrooms; Western Union and check cashing; an ATM;laundry services;108 parking spaces for cars; and general merchandise for professional drivers and highway travelers.

“We believe our familiar Flying J sign will be a welcome sight for interstate travelers and professional drivers. They’ll want to pull off to fill up, refresh and sample some of our featured food items likesandwiches, hot pizza and Oscar Mayer hot dogs,” said Richard Bronson, general manager for the St. George location.

For truckers, the site also has a CAT scale, eight automated showers and 118 parking spaces for trucks. The St. George location also features driver services such as Transflo and Trip Pak.

The St. George Flying J Travel Plaza honors the Frequent Fueler Advantage card.
