Roadrunner completes executive reorganization

Asset-light transportation and logistics provider names presidents for its business segments

Cudahy, WI-based Roadrunner Transportation Systems, Inc. has appointed a president for each of its three business segments.

Grant Crawford joins Roadrunner as president of the company’s Less-than-Truckload (LTL) segment, while Patrick McKay has been promoted to president of Truckload Logistics (TL) and Kevin Charlebois has been promoted to president of Transportation Management Solutions (TMS). The three new segment presidents will report to COO Brian van Helden.

Roadrunner said the appointments complete the  reorganization of its executive management team, a transition that began in January 2014 with the promotion of van Helden to COO.

With the promotions of McKay and Charlebois, the addition of Crawford, and the previously announced appointment of Mark Peterson to executive vp of sales in June, the company’s executive management team now has seven members.

The other executive officers are Mark DiBlasi, president & CEO, Helden and CFO Peter Armbruster.

“We are very pleased to announce the addition of Grant and the expanded roles of Kevin and Pat on our senior leadership team,” said DiBlasi.

“This announcement is a significant milestone in the company’s history and reflects the substantial growth we have experienced over the past several years, both through acquisitions and organic growth,” he continued.

“Our executive management team is positioned to continue driving the company forward as we work to become a leading multi-billion dollar transportation provider,” DiBlasi added.

Crawford was most recently an officer at FedEx Freight, Inc. serving there as vice president– International Operations.

McKay joined Roadrunner in 2012 as president of Truckload Services. Prior to joining Roadrunner, he served in various management roles at Schneider National.

Charlebois most recently served as president– Freight Consolidation & Inventory Management for Roadrunner. He joined the company in 2011 as president of Prime Distribution Services, the warehouse and consolidation division of Roadrunner. Prior to joining Roadrunner, Charlebois held a number of leadership positions over 17 years with FedEx Ground.
