CagleÕs Inc has signed a letter of intent with Perdue Farms Inc to sell CagleÕs Perry GA-based poultry processing complex, consisting of a processing plant in Perry and a feedmill and hatchery in Forsyth GA, for $46 million. The letter of intent is non-binding, but says the parties will use their best efforts to sign a binding agreement and close the transaction no later than Jan 31, 2004.
Atlanta GA-based CagleÕs produces and distributes fresh and frozen chicken products nationwide and globally. Products include individually quick frozen parts, rotisserie chicken, breaded chicken, eight-piece cut chicken, bulk frozen parts, frozen tray pack parts, and boneless skinless breast.
