The Food Industry Environmental Council (FIEC) has launched a web site at www.AFFI.com/FIEC.
FIEC, founded and chaired by the American Frozen Food Institute (AFFI), is a coalition of more than 50 food processors and food trade associations that together represent more than 15,000 facilities in the United States. This coalition contributes hundreds of billions of dollars in sales to the economy and employs about 1.5 million people.
The interactive FIEC web site allows member company representatives access to information about the council's positions on key issues impacting environmental aspects of the food industry, as well as the latest FIEC news releases.
This web site also will contain promotional materials for the 2003 Environmental Engineering in the Food Processing Industry Conference, scheduled for March 17-20 in Tampa FL.
