    Completing its transformation to an independent stand-alone company, the former transportation division of Aether Systems Inc has been relaunched as GeoLogic Solutions Inc. The company was acquired in September by Platinum Equity, a global investment company.

    GeoLogic Solutions delivers wireless and mobile communications systems to transportation firms. Its products include MobileMax, a dual-mode mobile communications system for fleet management; and TrailerMax, an event-driven, user-configurable asset monitoring system for untethered trailers.

    Nearly 50,000 of the company's systems are in use by more than 400 customers throughout United States and Canada.
