Thieman Tailgates has made several improvements to the M-series stowaway liftgate. Increased capacity, larger platforms, and a new receiver tube for towing have made the M-series one of the most versatile liftgates in the industry.

The M-Series now comes in a 3,000-lb capacity as the M-30. This model joins the models M-16 (1,600-lb), M-20 (2,000-lb), and M-25 (2,500 lb). The M-30 is available with a platform size of 72" × 36" plus 6" ramp or 84" × 36" plus 6" ramp.

M-16, M-20, and M-25 units are now offered with a platform (not provided on the M-30) size of 84" × 42" plus 10" aluminum flip ramp. This platform is a wedge-style platform, meaning it has a slight tilt from the rear of the platform to the ground.

The optional pintle hook attachment is no longer a bolt-on style for the M-gate. This new attachment uses a 2" receiver tube for towing. The pintle attachment must be ordered with the liftgate and cannot be retrofitted to fit an existing liftgate.

Standard features and benefits include:

  • Teflon composite bearings used with stress-proof pins for virtually maintenance-free operation at pivot points.

  • Pre-assembled pump and cylinder.

  • Tube mounted environmentally sealed toggle switch.

  • Torsion springs for easy platform handling.

  • Heavy-duty reinforced spacer for better durability.

  • Meets all TMC electrical guidelines for reduced service requirements.

  • Standard snubber kit to prevent wear of liftgate while in travel position.

Options provided for M-Series are:

  • Pintle hitch bracket
  • Low bed (34"-39") applications
  • Remote pendant control
  • In-cab shut off switch
  • Push button control
  • Heavy duty I-beam dock bumpers
  • Light kits
  • Trailer kits
  • Power down
