    The Information Management Group (IMG) has announced its business engineering project that will drive the implementation of SAP Business One at Orval Kent. Orval Kent, a division of Chef Solutions, manufactures pre-packaged refrigerated salads sold to retail and foodservice outlets.

    SAP Business One is a management application for small and mid-size enterprises. The application will be implemented with FourthShift Edition Food & Beverage for SAP Business One, designed for manufacturing business processes.

    Running SAP Business Suite, Chef Solutions has five facilities in North America and more than 1,500 employees.

    Much of the data capture will be handled by the integration of FourthShift Edition Food & Beverage for SAP Business One. The FourthShift Edition has capabilities for materials usage and shelf-life visibility that enables full inventory lifecycle management. Integrated with SAP ERP, FourthShift Edition Food & Beverage for SAP Business One also offers: MRP yield calculation; lot control capability; and tracking of expiration dates, production variances, and purchasing contracts.
