MGM Brakes' Magnum Performance Plus series of spring brakes has a 3"-(76-mm) long-stroke design, resists tampering, and has a dual-thread release bolt. A new push-rod boot seals the nonpressure chamber to the caliper upon installation. The series will accommodate parking brakes from 1,550 to 2,600 pounds of push-rod braking force, and service brakes in sizes 20, 24, 30, and 36.
The LTR-T series of spring brake actuators has an external breather tube system that vents air from inside the protected areas of the service brake chamber. LTR-T's spring side is backed by a six-year warranty; the service brake side is covered by a three-year, unlimited-mileage warranty.
The LTR-L3 3" long-stroke series of actuators has a double-diaphragm design that provides for an increased reserve stroke. A new "weatherseal" diaphragm is designed to cover breather holes during operation.
MGM offers Easy-Fit type 30 diaphragms, with a new design that promotes self-centering to seat the diaphragm more accurately.
The company also provides the BrakeTECH self-study training program for counter and outside sales personnel that supply heavy-duty truck replacement parts. MGM issues a certificate of completion to each participant successfully scoring at least 85 percent on the final review quiz.
