The Allen Lund Co certified its 1,000th driver recently as part of its Certified Refrigerated Transporter (CRT) course. This program, launched in 1998, reached the 1,000-driver milestone after just two years in operation.

Covering proper procedures for loading, transport, and delivery of perishables, the course was developed by Allen Lund in an effort to reduce claims. It was designed to teach basic knowledge that will help reduce money lost on mishandled perishables, which is estimated at more than $500 million a year.
