American Industrial Systems Inc (AIS), an ISO 9001:2008-certified supplier, manufactures a 10.4” rugged forklift computer equipped with a user-friendly touch-screen user interface and wireless connectivity for Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).

The 10.4-inch industrial operator panel is designed for vehicle and forklift systems that require IP65/NEMA 4 rated sealing standards for water and dust protection, capable of operating in harsh environments. Besides sealing, the display is compliant with military (MIL-STD-810F) ratings for vibration, shock, and drop resistance. HMI touch-screen capability is built into the vehicle system, allowing users to control and monitor real-time data. The vehicle display is available commercially off the shelf (COTS), enabling immediate deployment.

An aluminum alloy housing protects the internal components; meeting Military Standard 810F specs for anti-shock and vibration requirements. The front bezel is sealed to IP65/NEMA 4 ingress protection ratings for water and dustproof standards. Powering the computer is a high performance fanless Intel Atom processor designed for long product life cycle and reliable operation in industrial conditions.

Staying connected is simple with built-in dual gigabit Ethernet, 802.11b/g/n wireless support, and an array of I/O connections on the rear for external peripherals such as bar-code scanners and radio frequency identification (RFID) systems. The vehicle computer system accepts an operating temperature range from –25° to 55° C for easy deployment into a variety of warehouse adverse environmental conditions. The touch-screen vehicle computers provide a cost-effective, long life cycle system for logistics, warehousing, vehicles, and transportation.
