The World Food Logistics Organization (WFLO), a Core Partner of the Global Cold Chain Alliance (GCCA); and RefrigiWear have named two recipients of the RefrigiWear Scholarship.

Announced at WFLO Institute East, held in Atlanta GA recently, was the recipient of the sixth annual RefrigiWear WFLO Institute Scholarship: Todd Rybicki of Americold. During the WFLO Institute West, held in Los Angeles CA recently, Tom Romanowski of Henningsen Cold Storage was named the first RefrigiWear Scholarship recipient for the West Institute.

Todd Rybicki, Americold, was named the recipient of the RefrigiWear WFLO Institute Scholarship during the 2017 WFLO Institute East.

“Providing training opportunities for promising leaders in the cold storage industry is a goal of which WFLO places tremendous priority,” said Corey Rosenbusch, GCCA president and CEO. “Todd and Tom are both deserving candidates, and we thank RefrigiWear, a proud supporter of WFLO, for its continuous work in making the scholarship possible and creating a second scholarship for Institute West.”

RefrigiWear and WFLO have awarded one student a full scholarship for the tuition and related expenses to attend the WFLO Institutes, the cold storage industry’s premier training event, for the past six years.

Rybicki was selected as recipient for the WFLO Institute East, where he was recognized during the opening general session and at a dinner in his honor during the event. Additionally, RefrigiWear brought Rybicki to its manufacturing plant in north Georgia for a tour. Like Rybicki, Romanowski was also recognized during the Institute West opening session and at a dinner in his honor.

Recipients are selected based on their performance, leadership skills and dedication to the industry.

RefrigiWear manufactures insulated industrial work wear, accessories and personal protective equipment for use in subzero temperatures, inclement weather and low-visibility environments.
