ChillCo Logistics recently partnered with Mattingly Cold Storage to launch its Midwest platform. The company, which is a cold chain platform backed by long-term infrastructure investor Igneo Infrastructure Partners, is building a network of locally operated cold storage businesses across North America with an initial focus on the Midwest.
Mattingly Cold Storage is a family-owned public refrigerated warehouse based in Zanesville, Ohio. The facility operates multi-temperature storage with more than 30,000 pallet positions and serves food producers, distributors, and retailers across the region.
Under the partnership, Mattingly’s leadership team will continue overseeing day-to-day operations while joining the ChillCo executive team. ChillCo’s approach is designed to maintain existing brands, teams, and customer relationships while supporting growth and reducing operational complexity.
The partnership represents the first step in ChillCo’s strategy to expand its cold storage network by bringing together regional operators and extending capabilities without altering local service models or identities.
"This partnership reflects exactly what we set out to build with ChillCo," Jason Lafferty, CEO and co-founder of ChillCo Logistics, said. "Mattingly has deep customer relationships, a strong team, and an excellent reputation in their market. Our role is to support that foundation—invest in the business, remove complexity, and help accelerate growth—while keeping their brand and legacy front and center."
