C R England–Global Transportation nominated three of its top drivers for Randall-Reilly and Truckload Carriers Association’s Trucking’s Top Rookie of the Year.

Ten finalists were chosen, one of which was C R England’s Annette Dellinger. The company sent Dellinger and her family to Dallas TX for the Great American Trucking Show. She was not awarded the grand prize, but did receive a cash prize of $1,000 and a prize package.

“We are very proud of our drivers and want to showcase their performance,” said Thom Pronk, vice-president–recruiting, training, and corporate development, C R England. “C R England’s schools provide new drivers with the skills they need to be safe and effective on the road. The Rookie of the Year award is deserved by many of our new drivers.”

Dellinger graduated from C R England Premier Truck Driving School in October 2011. She is a second-generation truck driver, following in her father’s footsteps, and drives in a team with her husband.

Also nominated are:

•Jacob Chesley graduated from the Premier Truck Driving School in November 2011.

•Michael Jacobs graduated from the Premier Truck Driving School in March 2012.

The Trucking’s Top Rookie contest highlights opportunities in truck driving. Carriers were asked to nominate their top rookie who has graduated from a PTDI-certified, or NAPFTDS- or CVTA-member driver training school within the past year and has been employed by their trucking company for less than one year. Nominees will be judged on their safety performance, customer service, and achievements within their organization.
