As National Truck Driver Appreciation Week (NTDAW) approaches (September 19-25, 2010), companies across the United States and Canada will host special events and promotions in honor of professional truck drivers. From providing entertainment to distributing freebies to offering coupons or special discounts, the trucking industry will give back to those who have worked so hard.

The Truckload Carriers Association (TCA) has launched a new forum to help keep track of all appreciation activities. Companies are asked to visit www.DriverAppreciation.com and register their events soon as possible.

Developed for TCA by uDrove LLC, the new website will allow truckers to search for driver appreciation events being held within a state, city, and/or distance in miles from a city.

To post an activity, companies will be asked basic contact and location information, as well as the type of event (free meal, discount offer, prizes/gifts, etc), drivers who may attend (all CDL holders, only CDL holders affiliated with the host company, etc), and if the general public and media are invited to attend.

Companies are asked to download a NTDAW banner graphic to display on their own websites, linking drivers to the new website.

Visit www.DriverAppreciation.com for complete details and to register an event.
