ACT Expo, Penton Trucking partner; DTNA signs on as sponsor

Dec. 14, 2016
The Advanced Clean Transportation (ACT) Expo, North America’s largest clean vehicle event, and Penton Trucking, the transportation industry’s leading business intelligence provider, announced a strategic partnership to expand the market for advanced transportation solutions.

The Advanced Clean Transportation (ACT) Expo, North America’s largest clean vehicle event, and Penton Trucking, the transportation industry’s leading business intelligence provider and home of many premier brands for trucking insights, announced a strategic partnership to expand the market for advanced transportation solutions.

The partnership will further grow the annual ACT Expo, the industry’s largest gathering of commercial fleets and clean transportation technologies, taking place May 1-4, 2017, at the Long Beach Convention Center in Southern California. In addition to the new partnership with Penton Trucking, conference organizers announced that Daimler Trucks North America has signed on as the 2017 presenting sponsor.

“As the transportation industry sees an increased focus on efficiency, fuel cost savings and environmental performance across all vehicle segments, Penton Trucking is pleased to partner with ACT Expo and the show’s sponsors, such as DTNA, to actively engage fleet decisionmakers on the wide range of advanced vehicle technologies available,” said Reggie Lawrence, Penton Trucking’s managing director. “By working with ACT Expo, we can support each other’s mission to connect manufacturers, suppliers, service providers and technology developers with commercial fleets.”

ACT Expo and Penton Trucking, through their network of media brands such as Fleet Owner, Refrigerated Transporter, WardsAuto and many others, will focus on delivering timely and impactful content to high-quality end-users across all transportation segments, from light-duty to medium- and heavy-duty, municipal, construction, pick-up and delivery, and other applications.

“This partnership will help to further promote the increasing array of commercially available and rapidly developing technologies for sustainable fleet operations, including ultra-efficient and low-emission vehicles, connected and autonomous platforms, electric drive systems, renewable fuels and others,” said Erik Neandross, CEO at GNA, the producers of ACT Expo. “Additionally, having DTNA, a truck maker that consistently leads the industry with innovative products and services, join the show as a presenting sponsor, further signals that the advanced technology market for the heavy-duty space is stronger than ever.”

DTNA is returning to ACT Expo for the seventh straight year and continues to increase its support and presence at the show. It is expected to showcase its full line of alternative fuel heavy-duty vehicles at the 2017 event. DTNA is known for pushing the envelope when it comes to performance and efficiency, aligning with ACT Expo’s mission to provide a one-stop-shop for the transportation industry to come together to drive momentum for cutting-edge technologies and to hear from industry and government stakeholders about where the market is going tomorrow.

The ACT Expo show floor will give attendees hands-on access to the wide range of advanced clean transportation solutions available—including the latest products to increase fleet efficiency; telematic solutions and connected and autonomous vehicle technologies; electric-drive platforms, including innovative hybrid systems; and an array of alternative fuels and propulsion systems such as hydrogen fuel cell vehicles, natural gas, propane autogas, and renewable fuels. From vehicles, to motors, equipment, fuel, fueling infrastructure, and more—today’s latest innovations and next generation technologies will be unveiled and on display.

Additional sponsors, exhibitors and partnerships will be announced in the coming months. Registration is open with early bird rates of $325 for fleets and $550 for general registrations. For more information, go to www.actexpo.com.
