Dot Family Holdings acquires TAGG Logistics

Learn about Dot Family Holdings acquiring TAGG Logistics, which operates facilities in St Louis MO, Reno NV and Philadelphia PA.

Dot Family Holdings has acquired TAGG Logistics, a St Louis MO-based company that provides fulfillment services for goods purchased online.

Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

Established in 2006 by Tod Yazdi, Gary Patterson and Gian Cavallini, TAGG operates distribution facilities in St Louis, Reno NV, and Philadelphia PA.

“E-commerce is a rapidly growing industry where we see great opportunity,” said Heath Hunter, vice president of corporate development for Dot Family Holdings. “TAGG is a successful and growing business and is a great fit within DFH’s portfolio of companies.”

Other firms owned by Dot Family Holdings:

•Reliable Parts, a distributor of appliance parts, accessories, filters and detergents with 46 locations in the United States and Canada.

•Grabber Construction Products, a distributor of fasteners and accessories for walls and ceilings with 26 locations in the United States and two in Canada.

Dot Family Holdings is the investment office for the family of Robert and Dorothy Tracy, founders of Dot Foods, a food distribution business with annual sales of $7.1 billion and a fleet of more than 1,350 tractors and 2,190 trailers. Operating 14 distribution centers, Dot ranks number 22 on the Transport Topics Top 100 list of largest private carriers in North America.

TAGG’s leadership team will continue to manage operations with Dot Family Holdings providing oversight and governance of the company, officials said.

“For now, it will be business as usual at TAGG,” Hunter said, adding that “there is potential for collaboration between Dot Foods and TAGG down the road.”
