TCA to host 2021 Refrigerated Meeting in Albuquerque

July 2, 2021
Set for July 14-16, the annual event will include specialized educational sessions focused on temperature-controlled operations, networking opportunities as well as a golf tournament.

The Truckload Carriers Association plans to host its annual Refrigerated Meeting on July 14-16, at the Hyatt Regency Tamaya in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

In addition to its specialized educational sessions with a focus on temperature-controlled operations, the event offers attendees the opportunity to reconnect with unique networking opportunities, and a golf tournament.

"I'm coming down from Canada and will drive a truck as an essential worker if I have to,” Wendell Erb, president and CEO of Erb Group of Companies, said. “I've been attending this event since the late '90s and not only find the meeting very educational but we have made great friends in the industry through the event. We have a great agenda and speakers lined up so let's get back to some normality—join me at this Summer's Reefer meeting."

Registrants are encouraged to attend the following breakout sessions:

  • IT Malware and Ransomware: Is your fleet protected?
  • Showcasing business strategies in hard and soft markets
  • Recruitment and Retention Strategies: Employ high-quality drivers faster and get them to stay
  • Beyond Track and Trace: How smart data is helping fleets streamline processes, manage complexity, and ensure compliance of refrigerated freight transport operations

In addition, attendees will have the opportunity to hear the Refrigerated Industry Economic Outlook from economist Avery Vise; a keynote address by Former Acting Attorney General of the United States, Matthew Whitaker; welcome remarks from TCA Chairman, D.M. Bowman Inc.’s Jim Ward, Refrigerated Division Chairman Dutch Maid Logistics’ Sam Burrer, and TCA’s President John Lyboldt; as well as an insightful panel discussion on Insurance Strategies—Captive, Self-Insured, and Regular Market.

Through TCA’s Reefer a Friend program, both the registrant and the referral, whether it’s a friend, colleague, or customer will receive 25% off registration costs—rules and restrictions apply.
