Reddy Ice recently closed its acquisition of Arctic Glacier, a North American provider of premium ice products and services, from Carlyle.
The company, which manufactures and distributes packaged ice in the U.S. and Mexico, completed the transaction as part of its continued expansion strategy. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The combination brings together two ice manufacturers and distributors serving customers across North America. In connection with the U.S. Department of Justice Antitrust Division’s review, Reddy Ice will divest four facilities in Mukilteo and Lakewood, Washington; Coeur d'Alene, Idaho; and Brawley, California, along with certain customer contracts in Oregon and the metropolitan areas of New York and Boston.
