The California Air Resources Board (CARB) has posted an advisory on complying with its Transport Refrigeration Unit (TRU) Airborne Toxic Control Measure (ATCM).

This advisory, Using Rebuilt/Remanufactured Engines, explains the requirements that must be met with these engines, and how to determine compliance dates for the engines.

The ATCM requires owners to bring their TRU and/or TRU generator set (genset) engines into compliance with in-use performance standards that are being phased in.

The advisory can be found on the TRU website at www.arb.ca.gov/diesel/tru.htm.
