See how updates to SP Logbook from VTS help drivers focus on safe driving and fleet managers avoid disruptions.

Vehicle Tracking Solutions (VTS) has enhanced its Silent Passenger software that streamline user experiences for commercial fleet drivers and fleet managers. The updates to SP Logbook make it easier for drivers to focus on safe driving practices, and fleet manager to avoid disruption to business.

Silent Passenger Logbook is a total solution, including 24/7 customer support, for managing and meeting FMCSA Electronic Logging Device (ELD) requirements. It seamlessly integrates ELDs into fleet management solutions, making it simple for drivers to accurately track and record driving hours for maximum compliance.

To keep business a priority, SP Logbook delivers features that reduce operating costs by improving communication for drivers with office staff. In addition to ELD support, SP Logbook mobile app for iOS and Android offers a full suite of DOT compliance management features, including DVIR safety inspections and IFTA fuel tax.

“Unlike paper log books, ELDs accurately record a driver’s on-duty driving time. ELDs, combined with driver behavior scoring and training, are highly effective in helping fleets improve safety,” said Ryan Wilkinson, chief technology officer. “Using Silent Passenger, drivers can also easily connect with fleet managers to help ensure best practices in compliance are being applied, while reducing administration cost and increasing efficiency of recordkeeping and inspections.”

SP Logbook Version 1.5 includes these updates:

•Improved accuracy of Rest Time Counter, Shift/Drive Reset and Cycle Reset

•Easy activation of Adverse Driving Conditions and Short Haul Exemption

•New 2-Way Messaging for real-time communication

•DVIR submissions without an Internet connection

•Multi time zone support for a single motor carrier

•HOS violation reporting
