RETRAC introduces HighRise
RETRAC, an OEM and aftermarket supplier of accessories for commercial vehicles, recently introduced the HighRise folding rear entry step specifically designed for safe, easy and efficient access to trailers and cargo areas.
The HighRise, which the company said can be installed “in minutes,” includes a corrosion-resistant, auto-stowing roller mechanism that prevents damage when backing up; and the patent-pending counterbalance design keeps the step securely in a stowed position during travel. It attaches to the 4-inch bumper beam on most semi-trailers, box trucks and flat decks with quick and easy four-bolt installation. High-strength, durable, 7-gauge steel construction accommodates up to a 600-pound workload limit.
The ergonomic design enhances safety and promotes worker health by reducing strain when climbing in and out of trailers or cargo areas, RETRAC maintained. The grated steps provide exceptional traction, even when wet. Easier rear access also increases speed and efficiency.
