MCT earns Dealer of the Year award for the U.S. and Canada, and Refrigeración Especializada para el Transporte de Occidente snares Latina America honor at recent dealer meeting.

Carrier Transicold named MCT Companies the 2023 Dealer of the Year for the United States and Canada, and Refrigeración Especializada para el Transporte de Occidente (RETO) the 2023 Dealer of the Year for Latin America at its annual Truck/Trailer/Rail Americas dealer meeting last month in Phoenix.

The Dealer of the Year awards recognize the organizations that excel in all aspects of dealer operations, including sales, service, market penetration, customer satisfaction, business, growth, and business investment.

“This is a transformative time for transport refrigeration with new products, technology, and customer needs,” Alice DeBiasio, Carrier vice president and general manager for Truck Trailer Americas and digital solutions, said in a news release. “Customers are looking for the expertise, products, services, and geographic coverage that a strong dealer network can provide. We’re proud to celebrate Carrier dealers for their achievements.”

Based in Omaha, Nebraska, MCT has grown from a single dealership representing Carrier Transicold in 1986 to 19 service locations across six states. In a dynamic year for transportation companies and equipment suppliers, MCT distinguished itself with its refrigeration expertise, product knowledge, and ability to work creatively to satisfy customers, Carrier reported.

“At MCT Companies, we like to say we ‘bleed blue,’ which embodies our dedication to our customers, colleagues, and the Carrier Transicold brand,” MCT CEO Bill Willett stated. “We have a set of core values that guides every decision and interaction at every level of the organization. Simply put, our people know what to do and they produce results that exceed our customers’ expectations.”

RETO, based in Guadalajara, Mexico, won its fourth Dealer of the Year award in 15 years.

“This award recognizes exceptional performance in 2023, but RETO’s ability to meet high standards over a long period of time is truly inspiring,” said Alejandro Genera, Carrier Transicold general manager of Latin America operations. “It’s a testament to RETO’s culture, employees, and deep-rooted commitment to customer service.”

Carrier Transicold named three recipients of its Extra Mile Award for exemplary customer service: Carrier Transicold of Utah in Salt Lake City; Nordic Refrigeration in Ville St. Laurent, Quebec, Canada; and Refrigeración y Transporte in San Pedro Sula, Honduras. In all, Carrier Transicold recognized 58 of its more than 200 dealerships throughout the Americas with 98 separate awards for customer satisfaction, growth, business investment, and service proficiency in 2023.
