Copeland launches GO Real-Time trackers to improve cold chain visibility
Key takeaways
- Copeland’s 4G trackers improve real-time visibility for temperature-sensitive food and pharma shipments.
- GO Real-Time GL and GL XL support global LTE connectivity as fleets move away from legacy 2G systems.
- Cold chain monitoring data helps fleets reduce waste, improve compliance, and manage shipment risk in transit.
Copeland recently launched GO Real-Time GL and GO Real-Time GL XL cargo trackers, designed to provide global connectivity and real-time monitoring for temperature- and humidity-sensitive shipments. The company, which provides compression technologies and controls solutions, developed the devices to support food and pharmaceutical supply chains with improved visibility and data management.
The trackers are built on global LTE cellular technology, enabling reliable 4G connectivity as telecommunications networks move away from legacy 2G infrastructure. This supports consistent data transmission and geolocation tracking across global supply chains, helping organizations maintain visibility and simplify device management.
The GO Real-Time GL is designed for shipments lasting up to 20 days and uses an alkaline battery suited for air freight applications. The GO Real-Time GL XL is built for longer shipments, offering up to 90 days of battery life with a lithium battery and expanded monitoring capabilities for deep-freeze conditions.
Both devices monitor temperature, humidity, movement, light, security, and location, transmitting real-time alerts and shipment data to Copeland’s cloud-based Oversight360 platform. The platform enables users to detect risks earlier, benchmark carrier and lane performance, and improve decision-making across supply chains.
“These new global trackers reflect how we’re combining deep cold chain expertise with advanced, globally supported connectivity to address evolving supply chain demands,” Alex Axelsson, senior product manager at Copeland, said. “As telecommunications networks transition and supply chains grow more complex, customers need reliable, real-time visibility they can depend on. By pairing global 4G connectivity with the analytics power of Copeland’s Oversight360, we’re helping them protect sensitive goods, reduce waste, and operate with greater confidence across their supply chains.”
