Queclink Wireless Solutions recently launched a new trailer tracking device designed to improve data access, connectivity, and reliability for commercial fleet operations. The company, which develops IoT devices and hardware for fleet telematics applications, introduced the GV650MG as a hard-wired tracker built for harsh environments and complex operational demands.
The GV650MG introduces an Open CAN architecture that allows fleets to integrate trailer data based on specific supply chain requirements, rather than relying on fixed CAN libraries. This enables more flexible telematics configurations across diverse and mixed fleet operations.
The device features an IP67/IP69K-rated waterproof and rugged design, LTE Cat-M1 connectivity, dual-band GNSS for improved location accuracy, and a 5800 mAh backup battery capable of up to four months of operation during power loss. It also supports a wide voltage range (8–90V DC), multiple integration interfaces, and BLE 5.2 for wireless sensor connectivity.
While not limited to refrigerated trucking applications, the extended power backup, improved visibility, and sensor integration capabilities make it well-suited for temperature-sensitive freight operations that require consistent trailer monitoring.
