Yara, makers of Air1 diesel exhaust fluid (DEF), have now produced an application for Android mobile devices to help identify locations that offer DEF.

The Air1 app uses GPS technology to identify the closest retail outlet to a driver’s location. It is available for free from the Android Market or the iTunes app store using the search term DEF.

“This new edition to Yara’s Air1 family of mobile applications underscores Air1’s commitment to both DEF end users and our retail partners carrying DEF,” said Chad Dombroski, director of Air1. “We’ve been absolutely thrilled with the positive response we received from drivers and retail outlets after the launch of our iPhone app and have incorporated a lot of the feedback that we received in both the new Android app and the latest iteration of the iPhone app. For example, we have improved the app’s ability to zoom in on a location and have provided users’ the flexibility to hide the keyboard if they choose.”

Both the iPhone and Android apps will be updated monthly and allow users to search by city, state, or zip code. The apps are available in 17 languages and include nearly 3,000 retail locations worldwide.
