Networkfleet Connect, a new management tool, offers fleet managers the ability to assign jobs, dispatch drivers, and real-time communication with drivers all through Garmin in-cab GPS devices, according to the provider.

The new solution from Networkfleet provides turn-by-turn directions, improved routing, and the opportunity to manage jobs from creation to completion. Other benefits include job creation/dispatch; two-way messaging; and an at-a-glance dashboard that shows jobs in progress, completed jobs, and recent message activity.

“Networkfleet Connect gives fleets the power to manage their businesses more efficiently. By assigning and monitoring jobs directly with drivers in real time, this capability provides them with a significant competitive advantage,” said Keith Schneider, president & CEO of Networkfleet. “At the same time, fleets using Networkfleet Connect benefit from the comprehensive reporting, diagnostic monitoring and GPS tracking provided by Networkfleet’s wireless fleet management system.”

Features on the in-cab Garmin devices include view, accept, and job update status.

Networkfleet Connect is compatible with Garmin devices that support Fleet Management Interface Version 2.6 and higher.
