TMW Systems has announced the release of TL2000 version 8.0 software for firms operating on the IBM System i. The new version includes error checking for driver-entered data in mobile communications, easier edits to correct dispatch data and enhanced application security and configuration features, the company said.

According to TMW, delivery of the TL2000 software will now transition to a rolling release model that will bring enhancements and new features more quickly while reducing total cost of ownership.

“This newest release of TL2000 incorporates market-driven features that improve a carrier’s day-to-day operations and business performance, including support for route and fuel optimization from IDSC ExpertFuel technology,” said TL2000 gm Ray West.

The company said it would extend the software through web applications, as it plans to leverage its .NET platform to offer three new applications-- DriverSeat, CarrierHub and eStat 2.0--based on a standardized web framework to TL2000 customers over the next several months.
