SMC3 has announced it will update the data within its CzarLite freight pricing system effective March 31. The price list is externally certified and market-based, derived from industry-wide studies of LTL pricing, the company said.

The CzarLite update reflects the economic impact of rising expenses and changes in both U.S. Postal Service zip codes and Canadian and Mexican postal code systems. However, it does not include the impact of fuel prices, according to SMC3.

The company said it had the mathematical computations of its updates verified by a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). It also established an economic review panel comprised of outside experts to make recommendations for the CzarLite update.
