Maptuit Corp., a provider of commercial navigation, location-based service, real-time traffic information and vehicle tracking solutions, announced that its Maptuit NaviGo service has been nominated for the 2008 Best Telematics Service & Application for Commercial Vehicles Award

Maptuit Corp., a provider of commercial navigation, location-based service, real-time traffic information and vehicle tracking solutions, announced that its Maptuit NaviGo service has been nominated for the 2008 Best Telematics Service & Application for Commercial Vehicles Award. The winner will be announced on May 20 during the 8th Annual Telematics Update Conference in Detroit MI, which is organized by Telematics Update.

“This nomination is an acknowledgement of our vision and the future of commercial telematics” stated Rick Turek, chief technology officer for Maptuit. “We have a great team of Win-CE and Win-XP partners like PeopleNet, DriverTech, Geologic Cadec and Qualcomm, all of which represent a paradigm shift and whom without, this nomination would not be possible. Partners like these allow for innovative real-time products like NaviGo to be an effective solution to technology driven and quality proven companies”

Other companies also nominated for the Best Telematics Service & Application for Commercial Vehicles Award include: Ford Motor Company, LoJack Corp., TomTom, Trimble Navigation, Ltd. and T-Systems Enterprise Services GmbH.
