A new mobile scanning app for Android devices has been released by Pegasus TransTech.
The Transflo Now! mobile app follows a previous app released for iPhone devices in July 2011. Both apps allow drivers to capture and send high-quality images electronically.
Drivers can use the apps to scan delivery records, logs, or bills-of-lading and quickly transmit them to the home office for quicker processing. The documents are delivered in the same format as if they were sent using Transflo Express Truckstop scanning or Transflo Now! anywhere scanning from a laptop or desktop computer.
The mobile app will crop, enhance, and convert the image to black-and-white for best quality. It also can index the documents so drivers can provide additional information such as load number or trailer number.
The app works on Android version 2.2 or higher with a 5 megapixel or better camera. The app is now available for free download on the Android Market website at https://market.android.com, for current Transflo Now! mobile customers.
