Paragon Software Systems has expanded its Paragon HDX solution to include a number of last mile fulfillment modules.
Paragon Software Systems has expanded its Paragon HDX solution to include a number of last mile fulfillment modules.“The software system allows retailers to maximize the performance of their omni-channel fulfillment operations, whether they are using their own fleet, carriers or a mixed fleet,” the company said. “The ability to manage and track order fulfillment through a single system provides better visibility of the delivery process to retailers and consumers alike. This allows retailers to reduce costs and increase first-time delivery success.”Paragon HDX enables the system to be used as an end-to-end solution, or to fill the gaps in the retailer’s existing omni-channel fulfillment systems, the company said. “As customer expectations grow, the cost of order fulfillment becomes more challenging for retailers trying to balance convenience for consumers with operational costs,” explains William Salter, CEO and president of Paragon Software Systems. “The continued move to online shopping has led to added pressure as consumers increasingly expect a variety of guaranteed delivery options and related services. Paragon’s modular system delivers unrivalled visibility throughout the order fulfillment process meaning retailers can be confident in meeting consumers’ increasing demands with a choice of convenient but cost effective delivery options.” Designed to integrate with existing Warehouse Management Systems and Order Management Systems, Paragon HDX delivers operational improvements including maximizing the utilization of drivers and vehicles, reducing inbound calls into customer service centers and increasing first time delivery success, according to the company.“Paragon itself has a longstanding history in the home delivery sector. Together with Axida, who we acquired last year, we have unrivaled experience gained from working with retailers such as Argos, IKEA and Dreams. As a result, we are now able to offer what we believe to be the most complete and functionally-rich order fulfillment solution currently available in the marketplace,” concludes Salter.
