Trucker Path expands to Platform Science Marketplace to improve truck routing and driver tools
Trucker Path’s suite of driver-centric tools is now available through the Platform Science Virtual Vehicle Marketplace. The integration provides real-time access to maps, truck-optimized routing, parking availability, weigh station status, and points of interest for drivers and dispatchers.
“By integrating Trucker Path into the Platform Science environment, fleets can capitalize on all of our capabilities directly within their current ecosystem, eliminating the need for drivers to switch between apps,” Chris Oliver, CMO at Trucker Path, said. “For drivers, this means less distraction, safer routing, and less time wasted finding parking or getting to their destination. This integration supports drivers while also providing significant operational improvements for fleets.”
The integration aims to improve safety, efficiency, compliance, and reduce administrative overhead for fleets.
Transfix launches TMS to streamline freight brokerage operations and improve load management
Transfix recently launched its flagship transportation management system (TMS) and expanded its suite of AI-powered tools for brokers and 3PLs. The company, which provides freight technology solutions, built the platform to cover the full brokerage workflow.
“This launch marks a turning point not just for Transfix but for the entire brokerage industry," Jonathan Salama, co-founder and CEO of Transfix, said. “Brokers have spent years navigating disconnected systems to move a single load. The Transfix TMS changes that, bringing pricing, planning, and performance into one intelligent ecosystem. It’s for brokers, built by brokers, and proven to scale.”
NFI is adopting Transfix TMS as its enterprise-wide brokerage platform, demonstrating readiness for large-scale deployment. Read more…
Teletrac Navman report shows telematics and dashcams reduce insurance costs for fleets
New research from Teletrac Navman found that 84% of fleets deploy safety technology to exonerate drivers, with 53% successfully clearing drivers involved in accidents. The study also revealed that 34% of fleets were impacted by fraudulent motor claims, and rising litigation is contributing to higher insurance premiums.
“The role of telematics is evolving and taking on a more strategic purpose in fleet organizations, moving solely from a tool used for cost control and improvements to an extremely powerful, proactive risk prevention and management solution,” Alain Samaha, CEO of Teletrac Navman, said.
Modern fleets are increasingly combining telematics with dashcams to provide full context for driving events, enabling proactive driver training and defensible evidence, according to Teletrac Navman's research. Since implementing safety technology, 85% of fleets reported countering rising insurance costs, with 65% seeing premium decreases. In addition, the company found that integrating cameras with telematics has also reduced accident claim processing time, improving operational efficiency and risk management.
