Class8 launches free ELD and AI dispatch tools for Freightliner fleets

Class8 recently launched its platform with Daimler Truck North America (DTNA) to bring cost-reducing digital tools to Freightliner fleets during a difficult freight market. The offering includes a free wireless electronic logging device (ELD) with maintenance visibility, plus optional load-optimization voice AI and dispatch AI, available to eligible Cascadia trucks via onboard telematics starting in February 2026.

“Carriers are under real pressure right now, and most don’t need more software; they need fewer barriers,” Chris Atkinson, CEO of Class8, stated. “By pairing a free ELD with optional load and dispatch tools, we’re giving fleets practical ways to reduce costs, improve margins, and stay flexible in a difficult market.”
