Bridgestone Firestone North American Tire has introduced an on/off highway wide-base radial designed with “aggressive traction” for long-mileage use.

The L315 is engineered for axles carrying extra-heavy loads — front-discharge cement mixers, for example — as well as applications that need a good deal of traction, such as on/off-highway construction vehicles. According to Bridgestone, the tire's lug tread and open shoulder design provide the extra traction.

With its “L” load rating, the new wide-base radial tire can carry up to 12,300 lbs. at 120 psi. Size offering is 445/65R22.5 and tread depth is 30/32 in.

The L315's casing can be retreaded for all axle positions, noted the company. www.bridgestonetrucktires.com
